The Williams College Central Heating Plant is a combined heat and power plant that supplies steam for comfort heating and domestic hot water to approximately 90% of the College Campus. It also supplies approximately 20% of the electricity consumed by the Central Campus. The plant is under the jurisdiction of the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety and is manned by 9 full time employees.
